Stand-Up Comedian Vir Das Gets Called A Terrorist; Wonders Whether Actual Ones Are Being Called Comedians
For the past few days, social media is all about CAA and NRC. Many celebrities like Anurag Kashyap, Vir Das, Farhan Akhtar, Twinkle Khanna raised their voice against this Citizenship Amendment Act. All the stars got trolled and received flak for the same. Vir Das in fact even got called a terrorist. He took to Twitter once again to share his thoughts and sarcastically raised a question of whether the actual ones were being called comedians or not.

Vir Das, being a comedian, turned this situation into a joke and wrote, "I get called a terrorist on social media a lot, by angry bhakt type peoples.....I don't take it personally...I just always wonder if there's an actual terrorist out there who they are calling a comedian Because then the universe is strangely balanced." This tweet made many people laugh including Nikhil Advani. Earlier, Vir Das was in the news when he openly said that Bollywood would not talk about the protest. He had tweeted, "A large section of the entertainment industry is not going to stand with you, and I'm sorry about that. They're gonna try and make a profitable movie about you someday though." This was after netizens picked on Bollywood stars for keeping mum and not raising concerns over the Jamia Millia incident.
